The large enamel bowls with a rolled rim (that's what the curved rim is called in enamel jargon) are popular and versatile kitchen helpers and preserve the authentic flavor of food. The bowls can be stored space-savingly as they are stackable (even with their smaller "sisters," the kitchen bowls). They are used as fruit bowls, salad bowls, and very often as dough bowls when baking.
The enamel material consists of iron fused with glass at high temperatures, thus made from natural raw materials.
