The meat pot from Riess is a tall cooking pot and therefore ideal for preparing dishes with a lot of liquid. It is perfect for soups, boiled meat such as boiled beef, stews, ragouts, pasta, vegetables, potatoes, and many other dishes.
The precisely fitting lid acts as a practical energy monitor: when it starts to rattle slightly, the optimum cooking temperature has been reached and the heat can be reduced. This saves energy, because depending on the stove, it can be switched off completely about 5 minutes before the end of cooking – the enamel stores the heat for a particularly long time.
As both the pot and the handles become hot, the use of oven gloves is strongly recommended when lifting. Another advantage of the enamel handles is that they are oven-safe: the meat pot can easily be placed in the oven to keep warm or finish cooking.
